BG Daphne D. Davis commissioned as an Adjutant General Corp Officer upon graduation from the University of Kentucky in 1992 and thereafter completed the Officers Basic Course at Ft. Benjamin Harrison Indiana. From there she served 11 years as a Troop Program Unit (TPU) Soldier prior to entering the Active Guard Reserve Program in October of 2002. Her first TPU assignment was with the 320th Postal Company in Cincinnati, Ohio. August 1994, she transferred to the 2/100th DIV (IT) and the 1/399th Reception Battalion in Ft. Knox, Kentucky where she served as the Battalion Adjutant. May 1997, BG Davis assumed command of the 1/399th Headquarters Company serving as Company Commander until November 2000. Following her tenure as Company Commander, she served as the 1/399th Battalion Operations Officer. Upon entering the AGR program, BG Davis was assigned to the 90th Regional Readiness Command in North Little Rock, Arkansas serving as Chief, Reserve Personnel Division. Subsequently she report to the Human Resources Command, St. Louis (HRC-S) in July 2005. While assigned to the Human Resources Command in St. Louis she served as a Career Manager for The Army Reserve Active Duty Management Directorate, Chief of Officer Management, and HHC Commander. From St. Louis BG Davis moved on to serve in the United States Army Reserve Command (USARC). Upon successful completion of her tour at USARC (Ft. McPherson & Ft. Bragg) she served as the Chief, Adjutant General Division in the United States Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Command Headquarters, G1. BG Davis then went on to serve as the Battalion Commander of the 3-312th Training Support Battalion. Following command she served in the HQDA, G1 Directorate of Military Personnel Management, serving as Chief, Integration Policy Branch and later assigned to serve on the Army Talent Management Task Force. BG Davis is currently serving as the Deputy Commanding General Support, DCG(S) to the Commanding General, USAREC.
BG Davis is married to COL Vernon R. Davis. They have six young adult children and two grandchildren.
