LTC Piper enrolled in the Reserve Officer Training Corps in 2000 as a Simultaneous Membership Cadet with the Louisiana Army National Guard (LAARNG). She received her commission in the LAARNG in 2002 at Tulane University, New Orleans, LA, as a Military Intelligence (MI) Officer.
MILITARY AND CIVILIAN EDUCATION: LTC Piper earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans, LA, and a Master of Arts in Criminology from the University of Houston – Clear Lake in Houston, TX. She completed all coursework toward a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Policy and Administration with a double concentration in Criminal Justice and Terrorism Mediation & Peace from Walden University.
