MAJ Jean Gwon of Irvine, CA was commissioned as an Adjutant General Officer in May 2010.
Upon graduating AGBOLC is September 2010 she was assigned as a Battalion S1 for 1/12th Light Infantry, 4/4IBCT where she also deployed to Afghanistan. Upon completion of AGCCC in 2013, she was placed on assignment instructions to be the Battalion S1 for 2-1 Battalion, 2/2SBCT. In 2015, she was sent to The Old Guard to take over as the Battalion S1 for 4/3 Infantry. In 2016, she was selected to serve as the Company Commander for HHC, 4/3INF responsible for two of the most unique platoons in the Army, the Sentinels at the Tomb of the Unknown Solider and the United States Army Drill Team.
Upon relinquishing command, MAJ Gwon served as an Action Officer for Army’s Talent Management with DCS G-1, IPPS-A before her selection into the JCS/OSD/ARSTAF internship program and served as a Joint Manpower Analyst in the CJCS J1 from 2019-2021.
She is currently the Brigade S1 for the 704th MI Brigade on Fort Meade, MD. MAJ Gwon is married to another service member working in the White House.
